Entombment is the interment of human remains in a tomb or crypt, and today is most often referred to as above ground interment. It involves placing a casket or cremation urn in a crypt or columbarium niche within a mausoleum. The crypt or niche is then sealed and a memorial is added. A mausoleum is a large building designed to provide above-ground interment for related, or in the case of community mausoleum, unrelated people.

Incidentally, the first mausoleum was built in 353 B.C. for King Mausolus, from whose name the word "mausoleum" as derived.

Until recently, mausoleum entombment was thought to be only for the very wealthy. However, community mausoleums have made above-ground burial or entombment an affordable option. Through modern architecture, technology, and methods of construction, we have been able to bring one of the world's finest forms of burial to a price where it is comparable or equal to ground interment.

Each crypt is a clean, dry, vented chamber constructed of poured in place, steel reinforced concrete. After each entombment, the crypt is sealed with the insertion of a panel behind the crypt front along with a granite cover..

When you purchase interment rights, you purchase the right to who may be entombed or interred in the space, as well as the right to place a memorial where permitted. The crypt or urn space itself remains the property and the responsibility of the cemetery. To provide for perpetual maintenance, a portion of the purchase price of all sales is allocated to a Care and Maintenance Trust Fund.

Crypts and niches may be purchased as singles, doubles, or in blocks for families.
